The topical activity “Singing accompanied by gestures in the amateur musical
instrument playing and singing”
Orientating towards the real welcome of the Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day
(November 23, 2005 – November 23, 2015), contributing to the preserving and
keeping of the traditional cultural identity of the Vietnamese people in general
and helping the young generations to understand more the abundant cultural,
spiritual life style of the Southern Vietnamese people in particular, Museum of
Ho Chi Minh City has held the topical activity “Singing accompanied by gestures
in the amateur musical instrument playing and singing”
The process of the formation, development
of the Amateur Musical Instrument Playing and Singing or the existence of
the singing accompanied by gestures and the art of Singing accompanied by
gestures in the activity “Amateur musical instrument playing and singing” has
been introduced by Master-Musician Huynh Khai − Head of the national music
faculty of Ho Chi Minh City Conservatoire, to the students of Colleges,
Universities in the territory of the City such as Social sciences and Humanities
University, Saigon University, Pedagogy University, Ho Chi Minh City Culture and
Arts College and District 10 Youth’s Union. The items illustrated by the artists
from the amateur musical instrument playing and singing club and Sen Vang
renovated theatre have shown the vitality and the spreading of the art “amateur
musical instrument playing and singing” in the traditional culture of the
nation, mingling in the cultural integration current of mankind.
Museum of Ho Chi Minh City holds the topical activity “Singing accompanied by
gestures in the amateur musical instrument playing and singing” to welcome the
Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day and at the same time to affirm the value, the
special role of this art form in the cultural, spiritual life of the nation and
the creation of diversification in the world culture.
